HAYS APPOINTS JAPAN MANAGING DIRECTOR

Hays has appointed Grant Torrens as managing director of the Hays Japan business, effective 15th February 2021. Torrens moves into the role from his most recent position as regional director for Hays in Singapore.

Torrens brings 15 years’ experience in recruitment to the position. He began his career with Hays in London in 2006 with responsibility for accountancy and finance recruitment across the city’s banking sector, and in 2010 moved to Hays Singapore in a management role. In January 2019 he was promoted to regional director Singapore and has been responsible for the country’s operations for over two years.   

With responsibility for the leadership and development of both the international and domestic businesses in Japan, Torrens will report to Richard Eardley, managing director, Hays Asia and continue sitting on the operational board for Asia.
