Growth Strategy

Hays has built a solid foundation in Japan over the last 20 years. From our initial beginnings in 2001 out of a single office in Tokyo, we have become one of Japan’s premier partners for talent sourcing, helping to create opportunities and become lifelong partners to thousands of candidates and clients. Today, we achieve this success via a network of specialised expert recruiters located in our three offices across the country – Tokyo, Osaka and Yokohama. But even after 20 years, it’s not time to rest on our laurels. The Hays DNA around the world is one of continued growth, development and even greater success and Hays Japan is no different.

The recent pandemic has created a seismic shift in the recruitment landscape, and at Hays we have already taken action to ensure that we will be pioneers in navigating through a new world of connecting talented professionals with ambitious organisations. This is being achieve globally via increased investment in our consultants (both through headcount growth and learning & development), technology to help us understand and respond to our customer needs faster, and a strategic focus on rapidly enhancing our ability to service key sectors. Locally in Japan, in conjunction with our global strategies, we are also focused on strengthening our partnerships with our domestic customers to ensure we continue to give a world class Hays services to the entire Japanese market.
