Action Plan for The Act for Partial Revision of the Act for Measures to Support the Development of the Next-Generation Children

Target 1

Hays will achieve 90% or higher successful childcare leave applications for eligible female employees by taking the following actions. 
<Measures>
  • When Hays is informed that employees are pregnant, Hays shall ensure that the employees are explained individually about and understand the systems related to childcare leave.
  • Hays shall create support plan for return from childcare leave for each applicable employee individually and implement the measures based on the plan.

Target 2

Hays will achieve 30% or higher successful childcare leave applications for eligible male employees by the following actions. 
<Measures>
  • When Hays is informed that employees’ spouses are pregnant or gave birth, Hays shall ensure that the employees are explained individually about and understand the systems related to childcare leave.
  • Hays shall ensure that managers are aware of male employees’ right to childcare leave and are explained.

Target 3

Hays will increase the number of promotions in encouraging the employees to utilise their annual leave entitlement. 
<Measures>
  • Review the annual leave approval process and make it agile. 
  • Utilise a broad range of internal marketing methodology, such as emails and intranet, to encourage the employees in taking their vacation days.  

Target 4

Hays will support flexibility by implementing the below measurements.
<Measures>
  • Work from home option to all full-time employees after 6 months’ service.
  • Flexible working hours to all full-time employees after 6 months’ service.

Target 1

Hays will continue to ensure our gender hiring ratio at maximum 50% / 50% in line with the Gender Equality Act.
<Measures>
  • Continue to promote unconscious bias recruitment and ensure such internal recruitment process is in place.
  • Ensure the hiring record is properly tracked and is regularly reviewed.
 

Target 2

Hays is mandating an annual "Anti-Harassment & Workplace Respect Online Training" to all employees in support of an equal and inclusive workplace culture, regardless of gender and employee backgrounds. 
<Measures>
  • Content includes:
  1. Definition of harassment
  2. Definition of discrimination
  3. Legal requirements against harassment & discrimination
  • Course completion is properly tracked and record. Disciplinary actions will be taken for those who has not completed the training before due date.
