Senior Overlay Sales Executive | Industrial Software & Digital Transformation | Japan
A global leader in industrial software and digital transformation solutions is looking for an experienced Senior Overlay Sales Executive to join its Japan team.
This is a strategic, high-impact role focused on driving enterprise software opportunities across key industries such as manufacturing, energy, chemicals, infrastructure, utilities, and process industries. The successful candidate will work alongside account executives and regional sales teams to accelerate complex sales cycles and deliver business value to some of Japan's largest enterprises.

Responsibilities

The company is looking for someone who can:

Partner with direct sales teams to identify, qualify, and advance strategic opportunities
Engage C-level executives, operational leaders, and digital transformation stakeholders
Position advanced software solutions that improve operational efficiency, asset performance, sustainability, and business outcomes
Develop executive relationships across large enterprise accounts
Lead value-based sales discussions and solution positioning
Coordinate closely with technical, consulting, customer success, and partner teams
Support pipeline development, account planning, and opportunity strategy
Influence long-term digital transformation initiatives within major Japanese organizations

Requirements

10+ years of enterprise software sales experience
Proven success selling complex solutions into large enterprise customers
Experience in industrial software, engineering software, asset management, operational technology (OT), manufacturing technology, digital transformation, or related sectors
Strong executive presence with the ability to communicate business value to senior stakeholders
Experience working in matrixed, multinational organizations
Track record of achieving and exceeding revenue targets
Native-level Japanese and business-level English preferred
