Senior Marketing Manager – Foreign Asset Management (Japan)
About the Role
A global asset management firm is expanding its business in Japan and is looking to hire a Senior Marketing Manager to join its Japan-based marketing team.
This role is central to the firm’s growth strategy in the local market. You will be responsible for planning and delivering marketing initiatives that strengthen the brand and support asset growth across both traditional and alternative investment products. The position offers a high level of ownership, with regular collaboration with local stakeholders and global teams.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing Strategy & Campaigns
- Develop and execute marketing strategies focused on the retail and intermediary market
- Plan and manage marketing campaigns with distributors, including fund promotions
- Deliver integrated marketing initiatives across digital, advertising, events, and PR
- Support thought leadership initiatives and client-facing events
Branding, Communications & Digital
- Support brand-building and PR activities in the Japanese market
- Localize global brand guidelines and marketing materials for Japan
- Execute digital marketing campaigns across web, email, and social channels
- Use data and insights to improve campaign effectiveness
Content, Stakeholders & Projects
- Plan and manage marketing materials such as sales collateral, reports, and presentations
- Localize English-language content for Japanese clients
- Work closely with Sales, Investment, and Compliance teams
- Collaborate with overseas marketing and investment teams in English
- Manage marketing projects from planning through execution
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in financial services (asset management, securities, or banking)
- 5+ years in marketing, product, or related roles
- Good understanding of financial markets and asset management
- Experience or interest in alternative investments preferred
- Business-level Japanese and English
- Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills
