Participate in team code quality activities, including design review, code review, and documentation of Autonomous Vehicle subsystems.
Collaborate with data science team members to design and implement metrics capturing key performance indicators of the Autonomous Vehicle stack.
Develop unit and simulation tests to validate vehicle performance across target operational domains
Develop and test state-of-the-art software in C/C++ to enable reliable and safe operation for Autonomous Vehicles
Coordinate and execute on-vehicle tests to validate the performance of Autonomous Vehicle software in real-world scenarios.
What you'll need to succeed
3+ years of demonstrated experience working on real-world robotic systems in a lab, in industry, etc. – not just course study
Bachelor's degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a field that requires a strong mathematical and/or engineering foundation (e.g. physics, aerospace engineering)
Experience developing and deploying capabilities for robot perception, localisation, behaviour, path planning, and/or vehicle control
Strong communication skills in both English and Japanese
Strong programming skills in C/C++
Expertise with software development in a Linux environment Familiarity with standard development tools such as git.
