Your new role
As Supply Chain Manager / Senior Manager, you will take end-to-end ownership of the supply chain function, spanning procurement, manufacturing, inventory control, storage, and distribution. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for ensuring a stable, compliant, and efficient supply of pharmaceutical products in Japan.
You will work closely with external manufacturing partners, logistics providers, and internal quality teams, while also acting as a key point of contact with the regional head office. This role offers significant autonomy and visibility, with opportunities to lead improvement initiatives and ad hoc projects related to supply chain optimisation.
Location: Tokyo
Salary: Up to 12 million JPY (depending on experience)
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Proven, end-to-end experience across supply chain management, including procurement, manufacturing, logistics, and inventory control
- Strong project management and planning skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple stakeholders
- Hands-on experience working with external manufacturers (CMOs) and 3PL providers
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g. SAP) for inventory and manufacturing management
- Solid understanding of GMP compliance and quality-related processes in a regulated environment
- The ability to manage risk, respond calmly in crisis situations, and drive problem-solving initiatives
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and regional/global counterparts
