Overview:
We are working with a global leader in design and engineering software solutions to recruit a Renewal Sales Manager for their Japan operations. This role is ideal for a proactive and customer-focused sales professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a strong understanding of subscription-based business models. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and growing the renewals pipeline, ensuring customer retention, and driving upsell opportunities across a diverse portfolio of enterprise clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and manage the renewals process for a portfolio of existing customers in Japan.
  • Collaborate with account executives, customer success teams, and channel partners to ensure timely and successful renewals.
  • Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities during the renewal cycle and contribute to overall revenue growth.
  • Maintain accurate forecasting and reporting of renewal performance and pipeline.
  • Develop and execute strategies to improve renewal rates and customer satisfaction.
  • Engage with customers to understand their evolving needs and align solutions accordingly.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and renewal procedures.
Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • 5+ years of experience in sales, account management, or renewals within the software or SaaS industry.
  • Strong understanding of subscription models and customer lifecycle management.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding renewal and retention targets.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Fluent in
    Japanese and English
    (both written and spoken).
  • Experience working with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and sales analytics tools.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; business or technical background preferred.
