A Japanese consumer goods company is looking for a Legal professional focusing on ASEAN expansion!

Your new company

Japanese global company specialising in personal care, cosmetics, and chemical products, with a strong emphasis on sustainability and innovation. To capitalise on the company’s growth in the ASEAN market, they are looking to expand their Legal team in the Tokyo Office.

Your new role

You’ll effectively work hands-on closely with the legal team responsible for legal matters in a global focus, specifically in the ASEAN region. Support in day-to-day drafting and reviewing of contracts, providing legal advice, and integration of new brands into the company. Various opportunities to work with overseas legal members, and the establishment and operation of a global legal system as the Japanese head office.

What you'll need to succeed

Previous experience in a similar role within legal will lead to your success, as well as:
  • At least 1 year in-house or private practice legal experience
  • Fluent English & business Japanese
  • FMCG, MNC, Retail industry experience is a plus
  • Bar qualification from Japan or ASEAN region is a plus
