• They are looking for a Japan FP&A Lead to drive the full P&L for Japan and work closely with the commercial & operational business.

Your new role

• This is a senior FP&A role with full ownership of the Japan P&L, supporting a fast‑growing local business within a global matrix structure.

• Reporting to a regional FP&A leader based in APAC, you will act as the key finance partner to the Japan leadership team, driving financial visibility, performance management, and decision support.

Key responsibilities include:

• End‑to‑end ownership of budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and management reporting for the Japan business

• Providing commercial and strategic financial insight to support revenue growth, profitability, and investment decisions

• Supporting strategic planning, compliance, and financial risk assessment

• Partnering closely with senior local stakeholders across commercial, supply chain, and channel functions.

• Working collaboratively with regional and global FP&A teams in a matrix environment
  
  

What you'll need to succeed

• Strong background in FP&A and finance business partnering, ideally within medical devices, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, or regulated industries

• Proven experience supporting the Japan market and partnering with senior local stakeholders

• Bilingual capability: Fluent Japanese for local business partnering, Business‑level English for regional/global reporting

• Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP systems (Oracle preferred)

• Solid understanding of Japanese accounting standards, business practices, and regulatory frameworks

• Comfortable operating autonomously in a high‑growth, international environment
