We are a small but rapidly growing BPO company with a global presence. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Japan Country Manager to lead our operations in Japan and Korea. This role is crucial for maintaining strong relationships with existing customers and developing new business opportunities, particularly in the domestic Japanese market.
Position Overview:
The Japan Country Manager will oversee a team of 10 permanent staff and 110 contractors across Japan and Korea. This role involves managing day-to-day operations, ensuring customer satisfaction, and driving business growth. The ideal candidate will have extensive people management experience, preferably as a country manager in a BPO or similar industry, and must be fluent in both English and Japanese.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Management:
Lead and manage a team of 10 permanent staff and 110 contractors, ensuring high performance and engagement. - Customer Relations:
Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing customers, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded. - Business Development:
Identify and develop new business opportunities, particularly within the domestic Japanese market. - Operational Oversight:
Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in service delivery. - Strategic Planning:
Develop and implement strategic plans to drive business growth and market expansion. - Performance Monitoring:
Monitor and evaluate team performance, providing guidance and support to achieve targets. - Compliance:
Ensure all operations comply with local regulations and company policies. - Reporting:
Prepare and present regular reports on business performance, market trends, and strategic initiatives to senior management. - General Duties:
Perform other general country manager duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Language Skills:
Native-level fluency in Japanese and business-level proficiency in English. - Experience:
Proven experience in people management, ideally as a country manager in a BPO or similar industry. - Leadership:
Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team. - Customer Focus:
Excellent customer relationship management skills. - Business Acumen:
