Position HR Business Partner, Japan
Reporting to HR Business Partner, North Asia
Location Tokyo, Japan


Nature and aim of the position
To support our growing client groups, including but not limited to Commercial for TFS & Payment, Refund Counter Operations, and Technology. The HRBP will work closely with leadership and teams across these functions to ensure the effective delivery of HR services, enhance employee engagement, and ensure alignment with business objectives. This role requires a strategic mindset, strong communication skills, and an in-depth understanding of HR processes.
Working closely with the senior HRBP, North Asia & Vice President, HR & Office Management Asia Pacific, to ensure a high quality of HR service is delivered to staff at all times.


Key Accountabilities
Recruitment & Onboarding:
・Oversee the recruitment process for all roles within the Commercial (TFS & Payment), Refund Counter Operations, and Technology functions.
・Collaborate with hiring managers to understand talent requirements and ensure timely placement of qualified candidates.
・Ensure smooth onboarding for new hires, providing them with a positive introduction to the company culture and their roles.

Employee Engagement:
・Manage employee engagement initiatives to promote a positive and inclusive work environment.
・Collaborate with leadership to understand team dynamics and propose programs to enhance employee satisfaction and retention.
・Organize and lead various employee welfare activities and collaboration events to strengthen team cohesion.

Exit Interviews & Feedback:
・Conduct exit interviews to gather insights and feedback from departing employees, identifying trends and opportunities for organizational improvement.
・Report findings to leadership, recommending improvements based on employee feedback.

Payroll Compliance & Accuracy:
・Ensure payroll accuracy, timely processing, and adherence to relevant regulations and company policies.
・Act as the key point of contact for any payroll-related queries from employees.

Strategic HR Partner to Leadership:
・Serve as a trusted HR advisor to the leadership team, providing guidance on HR matters, organizational development, and workforce planning.
・Partner with leadership to align HR initiatives with business goals, fostering a high-performance culture.

HR Projects Leadership:
・Lead and manage HR-related projects across the client groups, ensuring alignment with business objectives and timely delivery of outcomes.
・Champion change management initiatives as needed, ensuring smooth transitions for all impacted employees.

Employee Welfare:
・Lead employee welfare programs, ensuring the health and well-being of employees across all client groups.
・Identify and implement wellness initiatives and resources to support work-life balance and overall employee satisfaction.

Collaboration & Teamwork:
・Organize and promote team-building and collaboration activities across departments, enhancing cross-functional relationships.
・Serve as a backup to Junior HRBP, providing support as needed and ensuring continuity in HR operations.
