Your new role

• Lead controlling and staff cost forecasting across multiple complex entities, ensuring accurate, compliant forecasts and oversight of accruals (bonuses, recruitment fees, leave provisions), while advising on regulatory, tax, and labor-law impacts.
• Deliver strategic financial insights through deep-dive variance analyses (Actual vs Budget/Forecast), supporting data-driven decision-making for HR and Finance leadership.
• Own reporting and metrics including monthly headcount reporting, scorecards, and group reporting, identifying trends in turnover, absence, overtime, and workforce KPIs.
• Drive automation, data governance, and reporting excellence by enhancing databases, ensuring data quality and consistency, and optimizing multi-entity reporting through Power Query, Pivot, and data modeling tools.
• Optimize and standardize controlling processes by leading cross-brand initiatives, leveraging digital and AI-enabled solutions, managing external remuneration surveys, and responding to ad hoc analytical and benchmarking requests.

What you'll need to succeed

• 5+ years of experience in Finance, FP&A, or Controlling, with strong exposure to controlling and payroll cost structures.
• University degree (any major); interest in AI, automation, or data analytics is welcomed.
• English and Japanese: Business level
• Advanced financial acumen with deep understanding of cost centers, P&L/BS impacts, payroll flows, and staff cost accounting.
