Role Overview
The company is looking for a motivated Inside Sales Representative who will partner closely with Account Executives and solution specialists to identify opportunities, engage prospects, manage inbound leads, and drive early‑stage sales cycles. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong interest in industrial or engineering software, and the ability to strategically nurture relationships with both new and existing customers.
Key Responsibilities
Manage inbound inquiries and qualify leads from marketing campaigns, events, and digital channels. Conduct outbound prospecting into target accounts across Japan using email, phone, and social channels. Identify customer needs, pain points, and technical requirements to determine solution fit. Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of early‑stage opportunities. Schedule discovery calls, demos, and meetings for field sales and solution consultants. Work closely with the Account Executive team to support territory plans and revenue targets. Maintain accurate activity and opportunity data within the company’s CRM system. Collaborate with marketing on localized campaigns and follow‑up strategies. Support customer renewals, license expansions, and cross‑sell motions when needed. Provide periodic activity reports, market insights, and feedback from customer interactions.
Required Qualifications
2+ years of experience in inside sales, business development, or SDR/BDR roles, preferably in software, industrial technology, engineering, or related fields. Strong communication skills in Japanese (native or fluent) and English (business level). Comfortable engaging with technical and business stakeholders at all levels. Experience using CRM systems such as Salesforce or Dynamics. Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize activities, and work in a fast‑paced environment. Self‑driven, goal‑oriented, and able to operate both independently and collaboratively.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in the industrial, manufacturing, plant engineering, or automation sectors. Understanding of digital transformation, cloud SaaS, or industrial software tools. Familiarity with pipeline management methodologies such as MEDDICC or BANT.
