Associate Manager

The People & Development team is well‑structured, collaborative, and highly professional, offering strong exposure to compensation and benefits, HR systems, and cross‑functional operations.

Your new role

  • Manage monthly payroll processes in coordination with vendors
  • Perform calculations and checks for hires, terminations, contract changes, LOA, salary/job changes
  • Process salary adjustments, incentives, allowances, tax, and social insurance items
  • Handle global mobility tax gross‑ups with vendors
  • Execute bank transfers, payslips, cost accruals, and invoice settlement
  • Process retirement allowance payments

What you'll need to succeed

  • 3+ years of payroll experience in a large‑scale organisation
  • Strong knowledge of payroll operations with vendor and HR system experience (SAP, Workday or similar)
  • Broad understanding of labour, tax, and social insurance regulations
  • Business‑level Japanese and English
  • Experience in retail or service industries is a plus
  • Strong stakeholder communication; customer‑oriented mindset
  • High attention to detail with the ability to balance speed and accuracy
  • Ownership mindset, problem‑solving ability, and team‑player attitude
  • Advanced Excel skills; interest in automation/efficiency tools
