Your new role
- Manage monthly payroll processes in coordination with vendors
- Perform calculations and checks for hires, terminations, contract changes, LOA, salary/job changes
- Process salary adjustments, incentives, allowances, tax, and social insurance items
- Handle global mobility tax gross‑ups with vendors
- Execute bank transfers, payslips, cost accruals, and invoice settlement
- Process retirement allowance payments
What you'll need to succeed
- 3+ years of payroll experience in a large‑scale organisation
- Strong knowledge of payroll operations with vendor and HR system experience (SAP, Workday or similar)
- Broad understanding of labour, tax, and social insurance regulations
- Business‑level Japanese and English
- Experience in retail or service industries is a plus
- Strong stakeholder communication; customer‑oriented mindset
- High attention to detail with the ability to balance speed and accuracy
- Ownership mindset, problem‑solving ability, and team‑player attitude
- Advanced Excel skills; interest in automation/efficiency tools
