Your new role

Exciting opportunity to lead a team of product planners and marketers, both hands-on, to gain actual expertise as well as people and process management to deliver top and bottom-line performance for the Aftersales division, which is currently 70% plus of total company profits. Leverage our own understanding of the aftermarket and our willingness to test new interesting ideas and strategies to drive business growth. Will have ample opportunities to grow and evolve in the role and within the Division, or even outside Aftersales.

Product
• Lead the expansion of the vehicle accessories line-up – both for products coming out of global vehicle source production markets as well as for local development, both within the market and region. Work with suppliers to propose attractive, high-value products, and coordinate with related departments, including regional team, to plan and execute a series of activities from product planning to securing sales
• Develop import, domestic distribution and domestic development capabilities of vehicle accessory products using third-party services in collaboration with region purchasing.
• Assist with related market research to recommend improvement measures with the aim of continuously enhancing customer value and satisfaction in the existing line-up

Services
• Lead management and oversight of our service contracts portfolio – free vehicle service maintenance plans, paid service plans and external insurer-supported extended warranty products, including leading concepts for new product launches, content changes, price revisions and strategic/ tactical offers to customers.

Marketing
• Cooperate with the planning team to coordinate B2B sales and B2C marketing activities
• Coordinate with area managers for the launch and execution of the above activities across the dealer network
• Collaborate with the vehicle marketing team and brand team manager to leverage parts, accessories & service related topics within the overarching framework of vehicle marketing, including but not limited to new product launches

Team Management
• Lead and support product planners and accessory implementers to maximise total portfolio Net Revenue & AOI (profit)

What you'll need to succeed

• Proven experience in vehicle accessories planning or development
• Strong motivation to achieve goals and create value as a team
• Strong logical thinking skills and can devise action plans based on numerical analysis
• Interpersonal communication skills in Japanese and able to build good relationships
• Conversation skills to carry out work in English (oral and written)
• At least five (5) years automotive business experience• University degree or equivalent
• Standard office productivity tools skills including AI generation (MS Teams / Copilot)

Preferred Qualification, Skills & Experience:
• Team management experience
• English proficiency (TOEIC 850 or above) or Overseas assignment experience• Experience in selling parts and accessories and/ or in aftermarket product promotions
• Be extremely tough and have negotiation skills with teams that have different cultures
