Your new role

The BCP, Safety and Security Manager is a stand-alone role reporting locally to the Japan MD - a non-Japanese. You will be responsible for all duties related to the health, safety and security (including crisis management) of the company's main Tokyo office, its 3 other sites throughout Japan and staff working in them. You will manage an outsourced vendor and work regionally and globally with other security teams. Additional tasks will include the review and revision of BCP and safety manuals and procedures and liaising with relevant local authorities. Conducting regular safety and health checks, as well as fire drills.

What you'll need to succeed

A minimum of 3-5 yrs of relevant experience in Japan, ideally with an international company. Vendor management experience is useful, but leadership skills, hands-on experience and use of initiative are more important qualities. Fluent Japanese (reading as well as speaking) and a minimum business level English. A recent EHS qualification is necessary, but this can be obtained after joining.
