The Japan operations team plays a critical role in supporting manufacturing, logistics, and compliance functions, closely collaborating with global headquarters and cross‑functional teams to ensure smooth supply chain performance.
Your new role
As a Supply Chain Specialist, you will support manufacturing and logistics operations by analysing key metrics, managing monthly reporting, and driving data‑driven decision‑making within the organisation. Your responsibilities will include:
- Measuring and analysing critical KPIs in manufacturing and logistics.
- Preparing operational data, resource analysis, and monthly reporting for overseas HQ (SDGs, scrap, etc.).
- Analysing cost‑related data to identify efficiency or improvement opportunities.
- Leading or participating in global and local logistics projects.
- Supporting chemical substance management, hazardous material handling, and EHS‑related tasks as required.
- Creating and managing SOPs and operational documentation.
- Participating in relevant external training and learning programs.
- Using tools such as Red online, SAP, and internal quality systems.
What you'll need to succeed
- Ability to communicate in English (basic written and verbal) and strong command of Japanese.
- Experience in supply chain, manufacturing, logistics, or similar operations.
- Strong Excel/PowerPoint/Word skills and comfort handling data.
- Project management knowledge or relevant certifications (advantage).
- Chemical handling and hazardous material qualifications (advantage).
- Team‑oriented mindset, logical thinking, and the ability to propose solutions when challenges arise.
- Willingness to continuously learn and acquire new knowledge.
