You will be joining a global life‑science organisation known for its advanced technologies, high‑quality products, and strong commitment to operational excellence. The Japan operations team plays a critical role in supporting manufacturing, logistics, and compliance functions, closely collaborating with global headquarters and cross‑functional teams to ensure smooth supply chain performance.

Your new role

As a Supply Chain Specialist, you will support manufacturing and logistics operations by analysing key metrics, managing monthly reporting, and driving data‑driven decision‑making within the organisation. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Measuring and analysing critical KPIs in manufacturing and logistics.
  • Preparing operational data, resource analysis, and monthly reporting for overseas HQ (SDGs, scrap, etc.).
  • Analysing cost‑related data to identify efficiency or improvement opportunities.
  • Leading or participating in global and local logistics projects.
  • Supporting chemical substance management, hazardous material handling, and EHS‑related tasks as required.
  • Creating and managing SOPs and operational documentation.
  • Participating in relevant external training and learning programs.
  • Using tools such as Red online, SAP, and internal quality systems.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Ability to communicate in English (basic written and verbal) and strong command of Japanese.
  • Experience in supply chain, manufacturing, logistics, or similar operations.
  • Strong Excel/PowerPoint/Word skills and comfort handling data.
  • Project management knowledge or relevant certifications (advantage).
  • Chemical handling and hazardous material qualifications (advantage).
  • Team‑oriented mindset, logical thinking, and the ability to propose solutions when challenges arise.
  • Willingness to continuously learn and acquire new knowledge.
