A limited liability company based in Tokyo, this entity serves as the Japan office of a global hotel group headquartered in the UK. It manages a portfolio of internationally branded hotels across Japan and nearby regions, including luxury, upscale, and midscale properties.
Your new role
- Provide legal support across Japan.
- Lead and manage legal transactions, contracts, and regulatory matters.
- Operate independently in Japan, with reporting lines to regional legal leadership.
- Collaborate with international legal teams and participate in cross-border legal discussions.
- Advise on matters related to hospitality, real estate, finance, and corporate governance.
What you'll need to succeed
- Japanese legal qualification (Bengoshi)
- Fluent bilingual communication (Japanese & English)
- Strong transactional experience (contracts, deals, negotiations)
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with regional teams
- Experience or familiarity with hospitality, real estate, or finance sectors
- Comfortable in a global corporate environment with cross-border legal matters
- High level of professional judgment and discretion
- Adaptability to a flexible work style and international reporting structure
