What you'll need to succeed

• Minimum 7 years of post-qualification experience

• Native-level Japanese is a must, along with strong English proficiency

• Ideally, have experience working at an international law firm or company, or have overseas work experience

• Must be a qualified lawyer in any jurisdiction

The hiring manager is looking for a strong and direct candidate. There have been concerns about candidates with overly reserved or indirect communication styles, which are sometimes associated with traditional Japanese business culture. Therefore, someone who can communicate confidently and assertively would be a better fit.
