Your new role

• Deliver high-quality simultaneous interpretation between Japanese and English across various formats, including in-person, hybrid, and remote meetings.

• Translate and edit documents using a dedicated platform, ensuring accuracy and clarity.

• Collaborate with consultants and fellow linguists to prepare for assignments and share reference materials.

• Contribute to team initiatives and continuous improvement through feedback, glossary sharing, and proactive communication.

What you'll need to succeed

• A completion certificate, degree or equivalent in simultaneous interpretation from a recognized institution is required, along with a bachelor’s degree.

• At least three years’ experience in a full-time interpretation role in a corporate environment, or commensurate freelance experience.

• Proficient at interpreting simultaneously in both Japanese and English at speed and using complete sentences, with good enunciation and grammar; able to interpret with precision across topics, especially when dealing with numbers, and skilled at reflecting audience analysis and cultural nuances.
