• In Japan, their HQ is in Chuo-ku, Tokyo with over 100 staff and revenues estimated to be around 50M USD.

• As their current Japan Finance Manager has reached retirement age, the company is seeking a long-term successor.
  
  

Your new role

• The Japan Finance Manager reports to the APAC Accounting Director and leads a local accounting team of 2 (Senior Accountant, Accountant) staff.

• The Japan Finance Manager is responsible for OPEX/CAPEX analysis (Costing, Business Risk analysis), Budgeting & Forecasting, Tax and financial reporting to local leadership and regional finance leaders.

• You will be expected to contribute to SAP implementation for invoice automation, and support financial and commercial projects.

• Key stakeholders include APAC Accounting Director, Japan/APAC President, Commercial Head, Marketing Head, Service Head, Supply Chain Head, HR Head, SSC in Europe and External tax vendors.

What you'll need to succeed

• You will be experienced in leading Accounting and Tax processes to local regulations, group compliance rules and JGAAP/IFRS.

• Finance Business Partnering experience (Costing, Business Risk, Budgeting) working with cross-functional stakeholders to provide strategic advice.

• Process improvement/ERP implementation experience is desirable - implementation of an SAP module will take place.

• Fluent Japanese, Business English - regular conversations & emails with the hiring manager and shared service centre will be required.
