• I work as part of the Asia Operations Technology team that spans Tokyo, Hong Kong, India and China.
• Develop and maintain backend solutions using Java (11 or later), with a strong emphasis on relational database integration.
• Support critical initiatives such as plant renovation, stability and hygiene improvements.
• Collaborate on integrating modern technologies with legacy systems for seamless operation and eventual decommissioning.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous delivery pipelines in a DevOps environment.
• Ensure adherence to best practices, including clean code, automated testing, and robust CI/CD processes.

• Solid 4+ (for Regular) years of experience with Java development.
• Proficiency in Java (11 or later) with a solid background in backend development.
• Hands-on experience with rational databases (e.g., Sybase, PostgreSQL, or similar).
• Understanding of different storage architectures and their appropriate applications.
• Experience in complex environments, including working with legacy systems and modern tech stacks.
• Solid understanding of Agile/DevOps methodologies and practices.
• Proven ability to deliver high-quality solutions in fast-paced environments.

• Exposure to functional programming (preferably Scala).
• Exposure to NoSQL databases such as MongoDB is a plus.
• Experience with large datasets, data lakes, and reporting tools (though not a primary focus).
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complex technical challenges.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with distributed teams across time zones.
