Your new role

As a Trade Operations/Import/Export Specialist, you’ll be responsible for managing the efficient and compliant movement of goods across international borders. You’ll coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure timely procurement, inventory control, and logistics operations. This role also involves maintaining import/export documentation, ensuring customs compliance, and supporting warehouse and plant logistics across Japan.

What you'll need to succeed

• 3–5 years of experience in import/export operations.
• Experience in the medical device, life sciences, or pharmaceutical industry is required due to the regulatory and operational complexity of the role.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Business-level English and fluent Japanese proficiency.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Must be based in the Tokyo area and able to commute to the Tokyo office.
• Willingness to frequently visit the Sagamihara warehouse, customs locations (Haneda/Narita/Tokyo ports), and occasionally the Shizuoka plant.
• Flexibility, teamwork, and the ability to adapt to dynamic situations.

• Experience working in an international company.
• Background in international freight operations.
