A global pharmaceutical leader is seeking a highly motivated
Health Outcomes / RWE Scientist
to join its Japan-based Value, Evidence, and Outcomes (VEO) team. This role plays a critical part in shaping evidence strategies and generating real-world insights that support product value and improve patient outcomes across therapeutic areas.

Your new role

• Develop and lead local HEOR/RWE strategies aligned with product and global objectives.
• Design and execute robust HEOR/RWE studies across the product lifecycle—from early development to post-launch.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external experts to address clinical, economic, and patient-centered evidence needs.
• Communicate findings through publications, presentations, and internal stakeholder engagement.
• Monitor trends in healthcare systems, real-world data, and regulatory environments to inform evidence generation.
• Contribute to global evidence planning and promote integration of local insights into global strategies.

What you'll need to succeed

• Advanced degree (PhD, MD, PharmD, or Master’s) in epidemiology, health economics, statistics, public health, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in HEOR, RWE, or related research in clinical or observational settings.
• Proficiency in statistical programming (e.g., SAS, R, Python, SQL).
• Strong understanding of Japan’s healthcare system, real-world data sources, and regulatory landscape (e.g., GPSP, GxP).
• Excellent communication skills in both English and Japanese.
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects, influence stakeholders, and work cross-functionally.
