Backup Operations Engineer

? System Administration for Unix Infrastructure and Wintel Infrastructure as required
? Vulnerability patch deployment and management.
? Communication with Global teams - Engineering and SA Teams.
? Monitoring and capacity planning.
? Daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi annual and annual checks and report.
? Change processing, testing and role out scheduling for changes to the environment.
? Communications with business units via the appropriate channels.
? Vendor Interaction
? Maintain support levels to meet the turn around time as agreed to within the Service Level Agreements.
? Perform Business as Usual Tasks involving trouble shooting and administration for Backup Infrastructure
? Contribution to the Process Control Manual and associated documents to maintain relevance
?Test, build, and deploy new Backup Infrastructure and Server builds as needed.

Experience
?3+ years experience in supporting Wintel & Unix infrastructure services covering the following areas including but not limited to or focused on except where requirement is stated
?Business Application servers
?Distributed Services
?Network Storage
?Database Servers
?Scripting (Perl, VB, Java are beneficial)
?1+ years Backup Infrastructure Support (*Requirement)
?Some Vendor / Platform Certified Training - Legato , Veritas, A+, MCSE, CCNA, Linux Certs etc
