The Recruitment Process

Please register using the ‘Register’ link. After first filling out the required information, kindly attach a Japanese or English resume. After registering you are able to apply online for positions advertised on our website. Once registration has been completed, a Hays career consultant will contact you between two days and one week later.

You will then meet with a Hays career consultant who is familiar with your preferred industries and roles. Together you will put your experience, skill and personal strengths in order, and describe your potential future career path. The consultant will also politely offer you tips on appropriate resume writing (Japanese and English resume), and introduce you to both public and unadvertised career opportunities which your skills and interests match.

If there is a position you are interested in applying for then, after confirming your decision, we will recommend you to the client. We will review your resume once again, and make preparations for an interview. Once an interview date has been set, the career consultant will negotiate on your behalf in relation to conditions or any other points that could be difficult to convey if you were applying directly.

Our career consultant will contact you once the client makes an offer, and assist you with the details of negotiation on working conditions, including start date and salary. The consultant will also support you in making a smooth transition to your new employer.
